Business Development at the Intersection of Technology and the Market
Would you like to propel more growth from your product portfolio? I hear this from businesses regularly. If you read that question and think, “Yes!” then perhaps we should talk. I advise businesses in business development, technology commercialization, and product strategy.
technology • business • growth.
Most likely you work with a smart, capable, and hard-working company who is developing new technologies. From time to time, you take on a challenge that both invigorates you and yet may be a little outside your comfort zone. In these cases, passion for a new technology alone may not be enough for market success.
Sometimes it takes more. More research, better communication, additional expertise.
When your plans include business development, product commercialization of technical solutions, or technology marketing BlendonGroup consulting can contribute important expertise to your team.

Technology commercialization is a two part process. The first is the product strategy. How, what and why the product is being developed. The second element is the go-to-market strategy. Business development is at the core of both phases. And success is measured by the customer demand that is created.

When advising companies, I bring 20 years of technology commercialization experience. This work spans the range from Fortune 100 to small, privately held firms.
Whether you are in the Fortune 500 arena or the small business world, I’ve been there. I’ve built and managed business portfolios of over $150 million. And forged new multi-million dollar business portfolios from the ground up with smaller businesses. These accomplishments include establishing new markets, building strategic customer relationships and launching new products.
With a degree in engineering and an MBA I am a whole-brain thinker, equaling at-ease navigating both technology and business. I’ve leveraged this expertise to guide product commercialization teams on a global scale, across multiple worldwide locations.
My experience also extends to contract negotiations with Fortune 100 customers and cultivating executive-level relationships. In the course of my business development work I am co-inventor on a wireless electronics technology patent (#7,769,346) and have another patent pending.
